With two decades of experience since graduation, Dr Mirza has built a stellar career and established Zen Endodontics to provide high quality dental care for his patients in the Bay Area. Our dedicated team provide exceptional patient care and maintain utmost professionalism in managing cases with our referral offices.
Our Story
Dr Mirza graduated from the University of Manchester with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery in 2006. He worked as a general dentist for several years during which time he became involved with organized dentistry through the British Dental Association and became an elected member of the English Council of the BDA. His further interest in Endodontics was through continuing education courses and seeing patients for root canal treatment at his office. He embarked on further training and gained a Post Graduate Certificate in Endodontics from the University of Chester in 2016.
Dr Mirza won an award in the UK Dentistry Awards for Young Dentist of the Year in 2017 his final year of practice in England before moving to America in 2018. He completed a DDS program at the University of California, Los Angeles during which time he did research in the field of Endodontics that was presented at the International Association for Dental Research in 2019.
In 2021 he started residency at the University of the Pacific in San Francisco. This was a dual program with a masters degree in Endodontology. Dr Mirza presented his research at the American Association of Endodontists annual meeting in 2023. He graduated with the OKU-Sutro Residents Endodontics Award. He returned to the school as a faculty member in 2025 where he holds a position as clinical assistant professor.
